HighSchoolOT has released their 2026 preseason Statewide Top 25 for boys cross country. Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools had two teams total in the top 25 with R.J. Reynolds Boys Cross Country being the top team in WSFC at No. 19.Â

Two Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools football programs have earned statewide recognition ahead of the 2026 season.
West Forsyth is ranked No. 11 in the MaxPreps preseason North Carolina Top 25. The Titans finished the 2025 season with a 10-3 record and narrowly missed a place among the preseason top 10.
Reagan joins West Forsyth in the rankings at No. 20. The Raiders also posted a 10-3 record last fall.
WS/FCS teams in the preseason MaxPreps Top 25:
No. 11 West Forsyth — 10-3 in 2025
No. 20 Reagan — 10-3
The two programs combined for 20 victories last season and give WS/FCS multiple teams among the state’s preseason top 20.
West Forsyth and Reagan have developed into consistent contenders in the Triad football landscape, and both will begin 2026 with significant expectations. Their inclusion also ensures that Forsyth County will be represented throughout the statewide rankings, with West Forsyth just outside the top 10 and Reagan holding a place inside the top 20.
