WSFCS athletes compete at Cross Country State Championships

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County programs stacked strong individual finishes and deep team efforts at the NCHSAA Cross Country State Championships at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex, led by Mount Tabor’s powerhouse 6A squads, Atkins’ front-running in 5A, podium threats from Reagan and R.J. Reynolds in 7A, and a steady pack from West Forsyth in 8A.

Atkins: 5A Firepower on Both Sides

Piage Kiesling’s top-12 finish and a tight boys pack (five in the top 45) highlighted a big day for the Camels in 5A.

East Forsyth, Reagan, R.J. Reynolds: 7A Depth in a Loaded Field

Reagan’s Jackson Farmer (6th) and Charlie Jones (13th) led a strong boys’ effort, while R.J. Reynolds added three in the top 55. On the girls’ side, Beeler (Reynolds) and Askew (Reagan) cracked the top 50 in a fast 7A race.
