
West Forsyth volleyball finished its best season in school history just short of winning a championship, falling to Green Level in Raleigh in five sets, 25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 9-25, 10-15.
The Titans (23-6) ran out to a two-set lead in the championship match, but could not win a third set to bring home the trophy. Green Level rallied to win the final three sets of the match, including a 15-10 win in the fifth set to complete an undefeated season.
Aurora Rosa led West Forsyth in kills with 14 and in digs with 18. Hadley Lichty had 24 assists and 15 digs, while Taylor Alderman led the team in blocks with seven.
Rosa was named the NCHSAA Sportsmanship Award winner, along with Green Level’s Aarushi Shah. Scarlett Taylor of Green Level was named the Most Valuable Player.
