Seven WSFCS basketball players named to NCBCA All-District Teams

The N.C. Basketball Coaches Association has released its all-district teams for the 2025-2026 season.

All-district teams are voted on by coaches who are members of the NCBCA. Players from N.C. High School Athletic Association member schools are eligible for selection, regardless of class.

Three boys and four girls from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools were selected to the all-district team this year for District 7.

In addition, Marlon Brim, the head coach of the West Forsyth boys basketball team, was named the District 7 Coach of the Year. The Titans posted a 26-1 overall record and won the Central Piedmont Conference. The team advanced to the Western Regional Championship, where it lost to West Charlotte.

Here are the selections:

Boys Basketball

  • Kamauri Manuel (West Forsyth) – 1st Team, District 7
  • Will Koonin (Mount Tabor) – 1st Team, District 7
  • Jordan Tate (West Forsyth) – 2nd Team, District 7

Marlon Brim (West Forsyth) – Coach of the Year, District 7

Girls Basketball

  • Laneigh Scales (Glenn) – 2nd Team, District 7
  • Makayla Griffin (North Forsyth) – 2nd Team, District 7
  • Asia Blackwell (Parkland) – 2nd Team, District 7
  • Laila Jones (West Forsyth) – 3rd Team, District 7
